The key missing piece: Acquisition of enough land in the Everglades Agricultural Area to store, CLEAN and move water south
- Stops damaging discharges to both coasts
- Alleviates the hyper-saline crash of Florida Bay
- Combats saltwater intrusion into Miami’s aquifer— safeguarding the drinking water supply of 8 million Floridians
207 Everglades scientists agree that land in the EAA is essential to stop damaging discharges and restore the flow of fresh water south where it is needed!
The money to buy the land is available thanks to 75% of Florida voters who, in 2014, passed Amendment 1. Only political will stands in the way.
